Access to the house via a private unmade road running through the classical landscape of the Chianti hills with olive groves, vineyards and forests. Surrounded by the greenery there is the private swimming pool with wonderful view over the valley. The house has a furnished pergola and other areas for relax. Guests can use, at extra charge, the following services of the property la Forra (approx 500 m away): tennis, restaurant, laundry, riding lessons and guided horseback tours. Podere Vecciale is furnished in a country style mixed with some antique ones. Possible excursions to: Arezzo, 35 km, Siena 40 km, Florence and S. Gimignano 50 km, Cortona, Pienza e Montepulciano. Lake of S. Cipriano (fresh water fishing) 10 km, minigolf 10 km, Roseto Botanico 6 km. Rustic, comfortable large working farm "Podere Vecciale". Private: grounds 7'000 m2 (fenced), garden 3'000 m2 (fenced), swimming pool (6 x 12 m, depth 190 cm, 07.05.-01.10.). Table tennis, garden furniture, barbecue, fireplace. In the house: billiards table, washing machine. Linen change weekly. Room cleaning on request (extra). Motor access (200 m via unmade road). Parking in the grounds. Shop 5 km, grocers 3 km, bus stop 800 m, railway station "Montevarchi" 5 km. Golf course 50 km, tennis 5 km, riding stables 3 km. Lovely stone house built at the end of 18th century, renovated in 2003, situated in a wonderful setting, 350 m above sea level, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and forests in a nice panoramic position. It is in an ideal location for visits to the most important towns of the area like Cortona, Pienza, Montalcino, S Gimignano and the Chianti region. The main house (sleeps 10) and the 2 outbuildings opposite it ( each sleeps 6) are rented together (sleeps 22), in total 410 m2. For bookings in a low and mid season for a main house and one outbuilding 15% discount available (ask at the time of booking). Wood burning oven, organic fruits and vegetables. It's possible to buy local olive oil and wine on site. Free logs. It's possible to organize dinners on request at 25 euros per child and 40 euros per adult. On request it is possible to arrange cookery courses and tasting of typical Tuscan wines (extra). Next to the house there is a small oak wood with children bowling area ( 2 x 9 m). Outdoor area for enjoying meals al fresco, 40 m2, next to the manor house.Interior: "Il Poggio", 15-room house 410 m2 on 2 levels, on the ground floor, antique and tasteful furnishings: entrance hall. Upper floor: small lounge with open fireplace and satellite-TV. 1 double bedroom. 1 double bedroom with open fireplace. 2 double bedrooms, each room with shower/bidet/WC. 1 room with 2 beds. Kitchen (5 hotplates, oven, dishwasher, micro wave, freezer) with dining table. 2 showers/bidet/WC. Panoramic view of the countryside. Facilities: washing machine. Internet (Dial up/ISDN, extra). On the ground floor there is access to a large room (32 m2) whre an arch separate the billiard room from the living room. From one of the bedroom there is access (1.2 m in height) to a loft room with ratan lounge. In one of the bedroom it is possible to add an extra bed (single) which is charged locally. The first annex, 100 m2, on 2 floors consists of a double bedroom and a dining/kitchen on the ground floor with access to a covered patio (50 m2 with outdoor furniture). Shower/bidet/WC. 1st floor: 1 double bedroom. 1 twin bedroom. Shower/bidet/WC. the second annex, 100 m2, consists of large, sunny living room, kitchen, 1 doubl bedroom ans 1 shower/bidet/WC on the ground floor. 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, shower/bidet/WC on the 1st floor. Both kitchens are adeguate for self-catering. gazebo with furniture next to the swimming pool.
