Slightly further to Puy l'Eveque with its Medieval old town on the banks of the Lot. Close to the vineyards of Cahors, with the colourful town of Cahors under 20 miles away with St. Cirq Lapopie beyond and also within easy reach of the Dordogne valley. Set in quiet wooded surroundings, this attractive cottage stands in a spacious meadow garden. There is a pleasant view from the raised terrace, with teak material furniture, awning and barbecue, overlooking the pool (9x5m, 21/05-09/10) surrounded by flowering shrubs. Available: deckchair, hammoc, umbrellas, shaded resting area.Interior: Very comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated, with oriental ornaments, paintings and many personal touches. Large well equipped kitchen/dining room with french windows opening onto the terrace. Equipped with electric oven, microwave, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and wood burner. Bathroom and separate wc. Step up to large, comfortably furnished and air conditioned sitting room open to the eaves, with leather sofa and armchairs, flat screen TV and video as well as a selection of English books, fireplace with wooburner and french windows to the garden. Double bedroom with shower and velux window. Stairs up to two further bedrooms, a twin and a large twin/double. Ample cupboard space on landing. House: Pretty farm cottage in peaceful wooded surroundings Position: About four miles from Salviac for everyday shopping and ten miles from Gourdon for a good choice of shops, supermarkets, cafés, bars and restaurants, tennis courts and its celebrated annual music festival. Some 16 miles from Domme and the Dordogne valley and just over 20 miles from Sarlat. The Lot valley and Cahors with its vineyards, to the south, is slightly closer. In a quiet woodland setting with a large area of well maintained grass around the cottage, ideal for children's games, there is a recently built private pool behind, (10x5m, 01/05-28/10). Garden furniture and barbecue.Interior: Fairly simply furnished and decorated but well equipped with, on the ground floor, a sitting room with sofa and armchairs, TV, separate dining room, kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric cafetière, toaster and table and chairs, shower room, separate wc and washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a triple with cot. Electricity payable locally.
