House: Beautifully restored house close to the Loire chateaux. Position: A short stroll to the village of Arçay. The village shop, a 5 minute walk away, is open 6 days a week for general provisions and daily bread by order. There is also a bread delivery service to the door by arrangement. The pleasant town of Loudun is only four miles away for shops, restaurants, supermarkets and markets. The Loire chateaux of Chinon and Saumur are within 30 minutes drive.  The country park at Roiffé just 14 miles away offers tennis cycling and watersports. Do not miss visiting the attractive towns of Richelieu and Thouars or the Abbaye of Fontevraud. The zoo at Doué la Fontaine, the Puy du Fou or Futuroscope are also within easy reach. There are some very pleasant walks around the village through countryside dotted with fields of melons, asparagus and sun flowers. The large well kept garden is enclosed and safe for children and there is a pleasant shady area with garden furniture. The swimming pool (10x5m, 07/05-01/10) is enclosed and has sun loungers. Swings, table tennis, dart board.Interior: Large and spacious, this beautifully restored farmhouse has retained its original features: exposed beams and stone walls. The bright and well equipped open plan kitchen has hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, kettle, cafetiere, toaster and a dining table. The spacious lounge has sofas, fireplace, TV, DVD and radio/CD player. Bunk room with en suite shower room. Separate wc. Upstairs, three charmingly decorated bedrooms, a master double with a king size bed, a double and a twin share a bathroom with a bath, a shower cabin and wc. Heating and wood payable locally.
