Le Blanc is only five miles away for more extensive shopping with its interesting town centre, many shops, supermarkets and street markets. Renaissance architecture and Romanesque churches are all within easy reach. Set in 25 acres of unspoilt woodland, with a private island, ideal for fishing and birdwatching. Adjoining the owners' home, the house is self contained. Terrace overlooking the island and river and another from which you can enjoy the swimming pool (10x5m, 08/05-30/09 can be heated at extra cost).  Garden furniture, parasol and barbecue.Interior: Restored to a high standard, the house is light and airy. Kitchen with gas rings, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and toaster opening onto large terrace. Comfortable living room with lounge area and dining area and French windows opening onto a large balcony overlooking the mill stream. Pleasant double bedroom and large shower room with wc. Upstairs, two beamed bedrooms, a double and a twin share a bathroom with wc. Cot and highchair on request. Electricity including pool heating payable locally. For more extensive shopping Le Blanc, five miles away, is excellent with an open air market twice a week. An area with much to explore with its abbeys, châteaux and picturesque villages, such as Belâbre. Set in 25 acres of unspoilt woodlands, with a private island in front of the water mill from which you can swim or fish in the river during the summer months. Garden furniture and barbecue.Interior: Tastefully furnished and well decorated throughout with exposed beams.  Spacious open plan living room, overlooking the river and weir, with country style table and chairs and double sofabed. Well equipped open plan kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. Washing machine. Separate wc. Stairs lead to the mezzanine with double bedroom under the eaves and bathroom with wc. Electricity payable locally. Cot and highchair on request. Bed linen and one large towel per person included.
