House: Pretty stone cottage between the Dordogne and Bordeaux Position: About half a mile from Villeneuve de Duras, with its bakery and restaurant, just over five miles from Duras for shops of most descriptions and restaurants and about nine miles from Ste Foy La Grande for more extensive shopping. There is a Golf course and country club five miles away. About half an hour's drive from the vineyards of either St Emilion or Bergerac, but also good local wine from Duras. This very pretty stone cottage has been lovingly restored and is carefully maintained. It stands in a small enclosed garden with fenced terrace and swimming pool (8x4m, 02/04-28/10 - can be heated 50 Euros per week, bookable in advance), with Roman steps and pool light. Garden furniture, including sun loungers provided. Covered patio terrace and separate rear patio area with barbecue and herb garden off the kitchen. Please note that there may be some noise from the prune farm next door as they dry the prunes at the start of September.Interior: Attractively decorated in cottage style, with several pieces of country antique furniture. Comfortable sitting/dining room with sofa and armchairs, fireplace with wood burning stove, Satellite TV with DVD, CD MP-3 combination system, round dining table and chairs. Kitchen/breakfast room with gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Also on the ground floor, a twin bedroom and bathroom with bath, shower and wc. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a twin and a double and a shower room with wc. Cot and high chair available. Bed linen and towels included.

House: Very well restored cottage with lovely views Position: On the edge of the small village of Savignac de Duras and just two miles from the hilltop village of Duras for good everyday shops, bars and restaurants. Supermarket and more extensive shopping at Sainte Foy, 12 miles away. Golf at the Chateau de Vigiers about 13 miles away. Many fortified bastide towns to visit in the area, as well as the vineyards of Duras and those of Bordeaux, including Saint Emilion, all within easy reach. Set on a hillside with uninterrupted views towards Duras, the cottage, which is part of wine producing estate, surrounded by vines and fruit trees, has a large area of lawned garden with fenced private pool (10x5m 21/05-11/09). Sunny, south facing terrace with garden furniture and barbecue.Interior: The bright and light interior, with accommodation all on ground level, is attractively decorated and furnished in tasteful modern style. The kitchen/dining room has gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, large dining table and fireplace. The adjoining sitting room has armchairs around the fireplace with wood burner, satelllite TV (English channels) and two single beds. Two bedrooms, a double with shower and separate wc (also accessible from the kitchen) and a children's room with bunk beds and a single bed, with French windows to terrace and a bathroom with bath, wc and washing machine. Cot and highchair provided. Bed linen and towels included. Electricity payable locally.

Please note: car essential.Interior: 6-room house 300 m2 on 3 levels, comfortable and stylish furnishings: entrance hall.
