House: Spectacular bird's eye views Position: At the top of the village of Beynac, next to the chateau, a short (if steep) walk to shops, restaurants and the banks of the Dordogne. Seven miles to Sarlat for more extensive shopping and weekly Saturday market. The views from this delightful little house are, quite simply, the most spectacular of any in our brochure. With the river Dordogne stretching away in the valley below, you can see no fewer than five chateaux from the secluded sun trap patio garden with its pool (8x4m 28/05-30/09), terrace and small lawn with garden furniture. Steps lead down to second terrace which has a summer kitchen with barbecue and sink.Interior: Entrance through cobbled courtyard to dining room with two armchairs and open fireplace, leading to kitchen/dining room with kitchen corner behind a bar with electric oven, mixed hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher and door to terrace. Very comfortable new sitting room with flat screen TV, DVD and CD player and also on the ground floor a double bedroom with view of the river below, shower room with basin and separate wc. Upstairs are two further bedrooms under the eaves, a double with river and chateau view and a twin. Washing machine and extra fridge in room off courtyard. The house is unsuitable for people with reduced mobility or for young children as both the house and gardens are on many different levels with lots of steps. Private: grounds 3'000 m2, garden on different levels, swimming pool (8 x 4 m, depth 120 - 170 cm, 01.06.-30.09.). Terrace, garden furniture, parking by the house. Shop 3 km, grocers 3 km, restaurant 3 km, bar 3 km, bathing bay 5 km, nearby attractions: SARLAT 25 km, LE BUGUE 20 km, LES EYZIES 19 km, GROTTES LASCAUX 37 km, RIVIERE DORDOGNE 5 km. Please note: car essential.Interior: "CHIPAN", 4-room house 85 m2, comfortable and nice furnishings: living/dining room with satellite-TV and flat screen TV. Exit to the terrace. 2 rooms, each room with 1 double bed (140 cm, length 190 cm). 1 room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 190 cm). House: A modern house with traditional pigeonnier in wooded surroundings Position: A mile from the village of Castelnaud with its supermarket, restaurant and dramatically placed château overlooking the Dordogne. Two and a half miles across the river to Beynac and seven miles to Sarlat with its weekly market. The house stands on a hillside in spacious grounds bounded by woods. There is a terrace with garden furniture overlooking the pool (10x5m, 01/05-30/09) and a covered terrace with barbecue and a shower and wc.Interior: The light, tasteful interior is immaculate and comfortably furnished. Open-plan living room with quarry tiled floor, cane sofa and armchairs around the fireplace, television, dining area and kitchen behind bar with gas hob leading to utility room with microwave/electric oven, large fridge with small freezer dishwasher and washing machine. Two carpeted double bedrooms on the ground floor, hanging cupboards in the hallway and a bathroom with bath and shower and separate wc. Upstairs is a twin bedroom and a large landing which also serves as a play room for children. Cot and highchair available on request. Electricity payable locally.
