House: Immaculate ground floor apartment. Wonderful views Position: On the edge of the village of Preixan 900 yards away for bakery,  grocers, bar and good value restaurant . The medieval walled city of Carcassonne is about five miles away and has a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants. You can hire boats on the Canal du Midi and walk or bicycle for miles along the tow paths. Many other lovely walks close to the villa, through vineyards, into the hills and along the valley of the Aude. Lots of vineyards to visit and Mediterranean beaches about an hours drive away. Set in enclosed gardens, the apartment has its own private terrace with sun awning, garden furniture and barbecue. Terrace above with covered swimming pool (9x4m, 01/05-15/10) shared with the charming owner who respects the privacy of guests when using the pool. Wonderful views towards the village  from the pool area with a few trees providing shade.Interior: Pleasantly decorated in light, bright colours. Entrance into open plan living area with double sofa bed and two armchairs, dining area with table and chairs and satellite television with UK channels.  Wi-Fi. Behind a counter is the kitchen area with mixed hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. Two good-sized bedrooms each with en-suite shower room with basin and wc one double and one with bunk beds and an extra pull out bed. Washing machine in one of the bathrooms. Cot available.
