House: Beautiful rural surroundings, close to Saint Emilion  Position: Just over two miles from Villefranche de Lonchat for local shops and seven miles from Castillon la Bataille for a good choice of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Many other fortified bastide towns, built by the English, to visit in the area, as well as the vineyards of Saint Emilion, 10 miles away and those of Bergerac, some 20 miles away. In a quiet country setting, the cottage is attached to the house of the friendly owner with whom the swimming pool (9.5x4.5m 01/05-30/09) is shared. It has its own pleasant garden full of flowers and shrubs and with garden furniture, baby swing and barbecue.Interior: Comfortable and tastefully decorated. The living room has a well equipped kitchen/dining area with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, cafetiere and dishwasher, a sitting area with single divan bed, TV/DVD and HiFi. Bathroom with bath and shower attachment, wc, washing machine, dryer and hair dryer and a pretty double bedroom with queen sized bed. Cot, high chair, push chair and child's bike (for 3 year old) available on request. Electricity payable locally. One towel per person and bed linen included. Position: The property is on the edge of an unspoilt village only two miles from Villefranche de Lonchat for food shops and its gastronomic restaurant. The lake of Gurson is a mile away. The lively towns of Montpon, Sainte Foy and Castillon are close by. Here you will find supermarkets, good shops, markets and superb restaurants. At the heart of the most famous Bordeaux vineyards of Sainte Foy and Castillon, with Saint Emilion, 15 minutes drive away. Set amongst vineyards and gently rolling countryside, this splendid property has peaceful mature gardens with walnut and fruit trees, perfect for al fresco dining.  You can enjoy magnificent views from the  swimming pool (7x4m 01/05-02/10) and the large, luxurious jacuzzi/spa. Garden furniture and barbecue. Tennis is also available.Interior: Restored and decorated with love and care, the stone walls complement the wood beams and create a warm atmosphere. The large country kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, electric cafetiere and a dining area. The fridge is stocked before arrival with basic provisions. Modern bathroom with wc and washing machine. The spacious, comfortably furnished lounge has a large window and view of the garden, TV with English channels/DVD and Hi-fi. Upstairs, the large master bedroom has a queen size bed and a shower room with wc. There is also another single bedroom available. Electricity payable locally. Bed linen and one large towel per person included. Beds made on arrival.
