House: Charming and spacious, large garden with lovely views Position: Four miles from Mussidan for shops, supermarkets, market and restaurants. Riberac, with its famous Tuesday market and Bergerac are both about 15 miles away. Within easy reach of Bordeaux, Saint Emilion and the fabulous Dordogne valley. Beautifully situated on top of a hill on the edge of a forest, the house stands in a garden of approximately two acres with mature shrubs and trees, ideal for anyone wanting a restful holiday in delightful surroundings. A pergola covers the attractive terrace with its garden furniture, where you can relax in the evening over a barbecue. The pool (11x5m 30/04-30/09) with decking terrace overlooks the landscaped garden and the valley.Interior: A well decorated house, furnished to high standard and featuring heavy wood beams, terracotta tiled floors and exposed stone walls. There is a large entrance hall with comfortable sofas, a fireplace and a large country table. Open tread stairs lead to the mezzanine and a vast beamed double bedroom with en suite bathroom and wc and plenty of cupboard space. The fitted kitchen is spacious and well equipped with gas hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, two fridges, kettle, toaster and a farmhouse dining table and dresser, leading to a small lounge with log burner, TV and video. Separate wc. Beyond is the main lounge, large and comfortable with a log burner in the stone fireplace and opening onto the garden. Up the main stairs are two smaller bedrooms, under the eaves, a double and a twin which share a shower room and wc. Under the timbered roof, the vast master double bedroom has lovely views of the countryside and has an en suite bathroom and wc. Electricity payable locally. Cot and highchair available.
