House: Position: Lorgues is just under two miles away, with the local supermarket on the way to the village about a mile away. In Lorgues there is a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants. The Provencal market on Tuesday is one of the best in the area. Close by are the beautiful villages of Le Thoronet, Cotignac and Carces, also the stunning hilltop villages of Aups and Fox-Amphoux. Only an hour's drive away is the stylish and vibrant Cote d'Azur where St. Tropez is an experience not to be missed. Also an hour's drive away is the historical town Aix en Provence with Nice only slightly further. There are plenty of vineyards to visit in the vicinity. Set on a wooded hillside looking down to the valley and over towards Lorgues, the gardens are well maintained with shrubs and lawns. In front of the house is the terrace with garden furniture and parasol, overlooking the pool (10x5m 26/06-11/09). Cold shower by the pool.Interior: Beautifully modernised house. Entrance into the hall and living room where there is a sofa and armchairs, flat screen TV and doors to the terrace. Off this is the dining room and kitchen with mixed hob, fridge/small freezer, electric oven and microwave. Larger freezer and washing machine in the garage downstairs. Also on the ground floor are three bedrooms: two doubles, one with en suite bathroom with basin and wc and a twin. Bathroom with double basin and separate wc. Only an hours drive away is the stylish and vibrant Cote D'Azur, where St Tropez is an experience not to be missed and the drive along the Corniche is a must. Also within an hour's drive is the historical and very picturesque city of Aix en Provence. Further afield, two hours away, you can be in the beautiful French Alps. Numerous vineyards in the area where you can taste the wines and buy at very reasonable prices. A driveway leads to the house, nestling into wooded hillside in 2.5 acres of private grounds. Enjoy the evening light on the trees across the valley as you sip your aperitif on the covered terrace overlooking the pool (10x5m 30/04-29/10) with Roman steps and pool house, with covered barbecue and sink. Perfect for 'al fresco' living Position: Set at the end of a quiet country lane, only about three miles from the popular town of Lorgues, with its colourful market on Tuesdays and plenty of shops, including two supermakets, bars, restaurants and tennis courts. Le Thoronet with its famous abbey, Carces with its lake are also within 15 minutes drive, as is the motorway, giving easy access for day trips to Aix en Provence, Cannes and Nice all about 90 minutes drive. The coast at St Maxime and St Raphael are also easily reached (about 25 miles away), with St Tropez slightly further and of course plenty of vineyards to visit in the vicinity. Built on the side of a hill, in peaceful wooded surroundings dotted with similar houses. Accessed up stone steps at each side of the house, one set leading to the main door, the other to the swimming pool (10x5m 01/05-24/09) surrounded by a sunny terrace, with plenty of garden furniture.
