House: Spacious for two in a village location. Situated in the centre of the small sleepy village of Pouillenay with its own boulangerie/small supermarket and hotel/bar/restaurant. For supermarket shopping and other shops, the small town of Venarey Les Laumes is a five minute drive. The cities of Dijon, Beaune and Auxerre are all within easy reach as are the classic, world-famous wine growing areas of Chablis, Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits. The beautiful medieval town of Semur en Auxois is just 10 minutes drive. There are lots of fabulous golf courses in the area and the very welcoming owners are golf players and will be happy to arrange rounds for you. The cottage banks the little stream of La Lochère. Off-road parking to the front and private south-facing walled garden to the rear with small terrace, garden table and chairs, lawn, sun loungers, parasol and barbecue. Vaulted cellar.Interior: Restored to very high standards by the same friendly owners as La Lochère with many of the traditional Burgundian features retained. Entrance into the fully fitted kitchen with electric oven, microwave, gas hob, fridge/freezer washing machine and breakfast area. Open doorway to the living room with comfortable chairs, sofa and coffee table. Solid oak table and dining chairs. Upstairs is a very large bedroom, with en suite shower room and separate toilet. Large double bed (1.6x2m) and a double sofa bed. Electricity over 70kw payable locally. Bed linen and towels included, changed weekly. Beds made on arrival. House: Spacious for four in a village location Position: The village has a grocery store/bakery, two bars and a tennis court within easy walking distance. Semur-en Auxois, an enchanting medieval town is six miles away, with a good variety of restaurants and three supermarkets. The wine growing areas of Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits, Chablis and Côte dAuxerre are all one hours drive away. Lac du Pont, a man made lake where you can walk, swim, canoe, wind surf and water-ski is ten minutes drive. Golf courses and horse riding close by. The friendly owners are golf enthusiasts and will be happy to arrange rounds for you. The Burgundy canal passes through the village and bicycles can be hired from the owners to explore the tow path and country lanes around the cottage. Entrance into a small courtyard with steps to the living room, enclosed parking and garage. Further short flight of steps leads to the grassy south facing garden with garden furniture and barbecue and from which five steps bring you to the kitchen entrance.Interior: Spacious living room with dining table and chairs, comfortable sofa and two armchairs. Fitted kitchen with table and chairs, ceramic hob, microwave, small grill/oven and fridge/freezer. Two bedrooms, a double with queen sized bed and a twin. Bathroom with shower, basin and wc. Washing machine. Another wc with access from outside. Oil fired central heating payable locally. Electricity up to 70kw per week included. Bed linen and towels included, changed weekly.
