House: Position: At the edge of the forest of Othe, Chamoy is a pleasant village with a small shop. For more extensive shopping, Saint Florentin with its Monday market and old town centre is 15 miles away. Troyes and its cathedral with stained glass and many other riches is also renowned for its textiles. Within easy reach and not be missed, are the towns of Auxerre, Chablis, Tonnerre, Sens and its Cathedral. Reims with its champagne caves and its wonderful cathedral, Fontainebleau and its chateau are certainly worth a visit. The amusement park Nigloland is an hour away and Disneyland Paris is only a two hour drive.The two and a half acres of land around the property include an orchard which offers a large area for the children to play safely. The discreet owners live in a separate property on site. The swimming pool (12x5m 18/06-30/09) has a retractable cover which is ideal in early season. It is also possible to bathe in the evening as the terrace and the pool can be illuminated (please request). It is shared with the other apartment in the house.Interior: The rustic ground floor apartment with terrace, garden furniture and barbecue has a very spacious sitting room with beams throughout, a fireplace, a lounge area with a sofa and a large dining table. The fitted kitchen has electric oven/grill, microwave, mixed hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. The double and the twin bedroom share a shower room and a wc.
